Eric Scott

Eric Scott Magat was born 20 October 1958 in Hollywood, California. He grew up in a middle class house with swimming pool in the San Fernando Valley, along with two brothers, Dana and Alan. With Dana he shared his room. His father was a postman and his mother accompanied him to the shooting for the Waltons.

Eric Scott was known for his role as clever and enterprising Ben Walton in The Waltons. " Before the „Waltons“ he played in the movie "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story" in 1971.

Scott stayed until the end of this series, he played in the subsequent feature films also, but he took no more other acting roles.

Today Eric owns Chase Messengers, a parcel delivery service, in Sherman Oaks, Calif., a business he helped build. He started to work as a messenger, moved into sales and bought the business some years ago.

Eric Scott was married first to actress Karey Louis. His second wife was Theresa Fargo, the mother of his daughter Ashley. During pregnancy Theresa developed acute leukemia. She died on Nov 05, 1992, a few days after the birth of their daughter Ashley. Eric wrote about this painfull time in people magazine in February 1993 for the first time. Since March 2000 Eric Scott is married to Cynthia Ullman Wolfen. Both have a daughter Emma, born in 2001 and a son Jeremy Ethan, born in 2004.
